![]() I also kind of like the early Lucas Arts X-wing/ TIE Fighter games (although not X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, oddly enough), but being so inept, my enjoyment was solely from watching my partner doing so well at it. There are pretences to story, but really it’s just HULK SMASH! I like the lack of subtlety. ![]() I think this is because both games have a strong element of blundering around and battering the crap out of stuff for no real, discernible reason. In all honesty, the only Star Wars based games that I’ve been 100% behind are Dark Forces for the PlayStation and Lego Star Wars. After the horrors of an ‘Imperial Assault’ campaign gone sour, all Star Wars-branded games are treated with caution. ![]() With having such a complicated relationship with Star Wars (you can read about that here if you really want to) playing Star Wars games can be something of a poisoned chalice.
